Come enjoy a night of films dedicated to the season of love in honor of Valentine’s Day! This event will be a potluck, so feel free to bring any snacks or homemade goodies to this event. Winter Retreat – Friday, February 17th – Sunday, February 19th @ South Lake Tahoe
Our annual trip to Tahoe is a must-come event! Our stay in Tahoe includes two nights in a cozy cabin, two breakfasts, a dinner, sledding in the snow, and all the fun and games you can imagine! The trip will cost $55. All paid members will be given priority to join us on this exciting trip. If you have not paid already, please be sure to pay during this week (call/text Sam at (209) 581-5088 to arrange a time/place to pay trip cost), but no later than next week’s meeting on Tuesday! You are interested in skiing or snowboarding. We will arrange for a group discount to either Heavenly or Kirkwood Ski Resort when we get enough members.
You can drive (and drivers are urgently needed!). You will be compensated for driving.

UC Davis Summer Internship in Environmental Toxicology Research – Apply by Friday, February 17th

Students work full time in research labs on projects involving environmental toxicology, participate in lab research conferences, present written and oral reports on their work, attend seminars on special topics and receive independent study credit.

The production facility makes pharmaceutical proteins using large-scale production techniques. The internship’s group supports the transfer, commercialization and technical stewardship of the manufacture process. International Project: Make Agent Orange History
We will be supporting non-governmental agencies who help fund early detection, prevention and education for the disabled. They also provide critical services to the poorest disabled children in Vietnam, including those affected by exposure to Agent Orange/dioxin. In addition, these agencies provide direct assistance to help those affected find jobs, attend school, and attain prosthetic devices.
