Rotaract Mentor/Mentee Program

Interested in an opportunity that lets you connect with other members in Rotaract on a more personal level?  We’ll pair upperclassmen with lowerclassmen to help us grow together as a club through mentorship, fellowship, and fun!  If you did not fill out a survey at the general meeting, please download the survey here, fill it out, and e-mail the updated PDF back to [email protected].  Thanks!

Mentor / Mentee Program Update

Be on the lookout for more “official” events next quarter! With finals week fast approaching, plan study dates with your mentors / mentees – or even de-stress events. Nothing can brighten these stress-filled weeks better than the company of others.

Volunteer for Picnic Day – Saturday, April 21st, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM @ Rotaract Booth, East Quad

(Shifts from 9:00-11:00 AM, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 1:00-3:00 PM, 3:00-5:30 PM)

Help Rotaract sell ice cream sandwiches and Italian sodas on Picnic Day! This is one of our club’s biggest fundraisers of the year, so we could really use your help!

You See Davis – Saturday, May 19th – Sunday, May 20th, 9:00 AM @ UC Davis

Want to host an Interactor for a night and have them shadow your every action as a college student? This is an Interactor Sleepover event where we will be giving tips and guidance about what it’s like to be in Rotaract. Please e-mail Service if you can host Interactors or would like to volunteer.

Rotary BBQ – Saturday, May 19th, 2:30-9:00 PM @ Central Park

Help the Rotary Clubs of Davis with their annual barbecue supporting child abuse prevention programs. This event will be a lot of fun!

Relay for Life – Saturday, April 14th – Sunday, April 15th

Join our Relay for Life team today!  Cost to register this quarter is $10, but will go up to $15 in spring quarter.

Mondavi Event for Florence and the Machine – Wednesday, April 18th, 5:00 PM @ Mondavi Center

Missed tickets for Florence and The Machine? We are volunteering to cater this concert event! Get sneak peeks of the show while having fun selling snacks with your fellow Rotaract members! It’ll be a lot of fun!

Summer Job Offer: Biological Technician @ Eldorado National Forest, CA

Looking for 2012 summer field season biological technician to assist various aspects of soil assessments. The majority of time will be spent conducting soil disturbance monitoring primarily for timber harvest and prescribed burning activities. Salary is approximately $14.36 – $16.06 /hr.

International Project: Make Agent Orange History

We will be supporting non-governmental agencies who help fund early detection, prevention and education for the disabled. They also provide critical services to the poorest disabled children in Vietnam, including those affected by exposure to Agent Orange/dioxin. In addition, these agencies provide direct assistance to help those affected find jobs, attend school, and attain prosthetic devices
