Rotaract Big West Conference – October 15th-17th @ UC Berkeley

The first ever Big West Conference! Boat cruise, guest speakers, workshops, networking, service, and tons of other stuff! Keep that weekend free, If you are interested in attending, please remember to sign up with the president. For more information, check out the Big West Conference Website.

Dog n’ Jog – Saturday, October 2nd [6:45 AM-12:00PM & 11AM-1PM] @ Vet School Campus

5K and 10K run for runners and their dogs. We will be guiding runners and handing out water and snacks through the arboretum. Free t-shirt, breakfast and snacks! Go to Gladys Valley Hall to register.

Picnic in the Park – Wednesday, October 6th [7:30-9:30PM] @ Central Park

Help clean up the park after the farmer’s market at Central Park in downtown Davis.

Freakin’ Awesome Friday – Friday, October 8th [ 4:00-7:00PM] @ TBA

We’ll be starting our quarter service project, Operation Christmas Child. We are preparing boxes of goodies and gifts for children who would otherwise not receive presents for Christmas. We will be making friendship bracelets.

Tutoring at Progress Ranch – Mondays-Thursdays [3:15-4:15PM & 2:00-3:00PM (Wednesday only)]  @ 2725 Loyola Dr.

Weekly Tutoring at Progress Ranch needs 2 or 3 people per time slot and it is a first come first served opportunity. If selected, there is an orientation meeting. The deadline to sign up is Friday, October 1st at 11:59pm.

UCD Aggie Football Game – Saturday, October 9th [5PM] @ Aggie Stadium

It’s our annual Homecoming game against South Dakota! Come help us work a bbq stand, enjoy the game, and cheer for our team!!

Dixon Corn Maze – Saturday, October 2nd [6:30PM] @ 6585 Milk Farm Rd., Dixon

This is the world’s largest corn maze. Also, it has hay rides, pedal carts, and a snack bar. The price for the corn maze is $10. There is a pumpkin patch. If you want to purchase a pumpkin then bring extra money. Let us know if you can drive and the number of people you can take. Meet at the tennis courts.

Dollar Scoop and Movie Night – Tuesday, October 5th [7PM] @ Downtown Davis

Come grab a delicious scoop of ice cream from Baskin Robbins or some frozen yogurt from Yoloberry or Cultive. Afterwards, Enjoy a $5 movie with Rotaractors!

Davis Neighbors Night Out & Meet and Greet – Sunday, October 10th [6:30PM] @ TBA

Come have a fun time! Everyone in Davis is getting together all over Davis with fellow neighbors! There will be a potluck and you can fill out raffle tickets to win awesome prizes.

S.E.E. Lab Internship

S.E.E. lab looking for new RAs interested in research on human emotions. Looking for students with a 3.0 GPA and above, detail orientated and can commit for 9 hours per week for a year. Students that have taken PSC 41(research methods) and PSC 151 (Social psychology) preferred.

Guest Speaker: Carmel Gabriel – Tuesday, October 5th @ Young 194

Stick around after the general meeting and listen to Carmel Gabriel, a current UC Davis grad student, speak. Ask question and learn more about grad school among other things.
