Professional Tip of the Week
In the professional world, maintaining eye contact is essential to show confidence, respect, and connect you to the person you are talking to. In an interview, this is essential to leaving a positive impression on the interviewer. Avoiding eye contact shows that you are uncomfortable and can be seen as disrespectful. Maintaining eye contact for long periods of time can seem intimidating for both parties, so it’s okay to look away to collect your thoughts every so often.
