CRCD’s 3rd Annual Charity Dinner: Saturday, May 2 6-9PM

Want to dress up and enjoy a beautiful night with your favorite people?
Rotaract is hosting out 3rd annual Charity Dinner entitled “Let Your Dreams Set Sail” on May 2nd (Saturday) from 6-9pm.Tickets for students are on sale for $28. Enjoy a night of beautiful food, people, raffle baskets, and entertainment! Tickets can be purchased HERE!!!!

Abgina Takes Over

District Service Project: WAPI’s
Sunday, May 3 9:30AM-3:30PM (including driving time), Antioch, CA

District 5160 will be having a closing ceremony, potluck, and a service event! We will be making WAPIs (Water Pasteurization Indicator), which indicate that water is safe to drink, and then shipping them to Sub-Saharan African countries. This event is also a potluck! This is a BYOH (Bring your Own Hammer) event.You can find the Facebook event here, and can also sign up for what you’re bringing to the potluck.

FAF: Freakin’ Awesome Friday
Friday, May 8th 4PM-6PM, MU Patio!!
Baby packs are getting real! We have completed making the baby caps, and are well on our way to finishing up the bibs. Please come help this wonderful cause while also relaxing with friends and brushing up your sewing skills!

Rotary BBQ
Saturday, May 16 12PM-9PM

Come out for fun and help out Rotary at one of their AWESOME events of the year! We will be in charge of setting up, serving food, and manning the game booths. This is your chance to interact with the Davis community and Rotarians! This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Pocky Stick Sales!

Our homemade pocky sticks are back! Come get them from the tables outside the MU on Wedndesday, Thursday, and Friday next week. $2 for 1 or $3 for 2!

We will be working the concessions for Laverne Cox, who is a transgender woman on orange is the new black! Please wear a white button up, black pants, and black shoes. Bow ties and name tags will be provided at the event.

Professional Tip of the Week: Advisors 
Unsure about what you can do with your major? Do you want to switch majors? Do you want to take on a minor? Are you on track to graduate?
These are the types of questions your advisor can help you with! There are a variety of advisors including your major advisor, peer advisors, and pre-professional advisors. They can help you find the optimal path for you to succeed in and after Davis.
*On a special note, for those who are graduating soon, don’t forget to:
– Request preliminary degree check
– Check with major advisor to confirm major requirements are satisfied
– Verify transcripts for transfer coursework (ex/ community college credits)
– If you have a minor, file minor declaration petition by respective deadline
